Tide Tiles is an original lightweight game created by MEST for Dayhop. Slide the eight coast tiles into numbered order, with the empty sea in the lower-right corner. Every shuffle is made with legal moves. Build the top row first. The blank sea is the workspace: pieces cannot jump over each other. Shuffling uses legal slides from the solved board, so every puzzle remains solvable. The interface is in English. All code, graphics, and optional synthesized sound run locally, without accounts, remote assets, or online APIs. The shared controls offer start, pause, restart, and a best score stored only in this browser. Clearing site data removes that record. A different browser or device has its own score. The controls support keyboard, mouse, and touch, with a layout that reflows on phones and tablets.
Tap a tile beside the empty space, or use arrow keys to slide a neighboring tile. P or Esc pauses. Slide the eight coast tiles into numbered order, with the empty sea in the lower-right corner. Every shuffle is made with legal moves.
