About this game

Island Workshop is an original building and production game by MEST. It begins with the resources available across an island and asks you to organize gathering, processing, construction, and trade into a useful sequence. Wood and stone support early buildings, while ore and fiber feed more specialized workshops. Farms and mills turn grain into flour and food; sawmills, forges, textile buildings, and mechanical workshops convert materials into boards, metal, cloth, tools, and parts. Those products have a purpose: orders request finished goods, damaged routes need repairs, and the shipyard eventually needs a set of components and supplies before a voyage can begin. New coastal areas introduce additional materials, including mangrove wood, shells, and sea salt, with their own buildings and uses. The game rewards planning a chain rather than clicking every available building at once. Check what each recipe consumes, make sure the relevant resources are reachable, and balance recurring production against one-time construction goals. Its interface and resource names are in Chinese in the original build; the English overview here follows the production systems shown in the game. Island Workshop is MEST's original work and is marked all rights reserved. The game is embedded from MEST’s external host after you start it.

How to play

Select a resource site or building to gather and process materials. Follow the recipe shown for each workshop, then use the resulting goods to fulfil orders, repair routes, and expand production. Build the shipyard chain by preparing boards, rope, parts, a hull component, sails, and voyage supplies.

Tips

Check a recipe before assigning scarce materials to it. Repair access routes when a resource or building is isolated, and keep basic production running while you work toward a larger ship component. Treat orders as a guide to useful output, but reserve enough stock for construction and repairs. New coastal resources need their matching gathering buildings.
