Island Mines is an original lightweight game created by MEST for Dayhop. Reveal every safe island square using the neighboring mine counts. Your first reveal and its immediate neighbors are safe. Flags are reminders, not proof. Compare overlapping neighborhoods before guessing. Flags are hypotheses rather than confirmed mines. The first reveal and its immediate neighbors are protected. Random boards can require guessing; the game does not guarantee a deduction-only solution. The interface is in English. All code, graphics, and optional synthesized sound run locally, without accounts, remote assets, or online APIs. The shared controls offer start, pause, restart, and a best score stored only in this browser. Clearing site data removes that record. A different browser or device has its own score. The controls support keyboard, mouse, and touch, with a layout that reflows on phones and tablets.
Tap to reveal. Switch Flag mode to mark a square; right-click also flags. Tab and Enter work. Three board sizes are available. P or Esc pauses. Reveal every safe island square using the neighboring mine counts. Your first reveal and its immediate neighbors are safe. Flags are reminders, not proof.
